The suggested reading
for this year as a church for 2006 is
What the Bible is All About by Henrietta Mears, the
founder of Forest Home and a teacher for many years at Hollywood
Presbyterian Church. This book may be used as a “Devotional Aid” for
those of you who have gotten into the discipline of a daily devotion.
This book is a wonderful resource and may be used as a companion to the
bible. Small groups may want to use this book as a study. There are 53
chapters that divide conveniently into one chapter per week for 51 weeks
leaving the remaining 2 for the last week of 2006. There are bible
references throughout the book that can be incorporated into the
reading/study/devotion. Each chapter is approximately 14 pages in
length so it will not take a great deal of time to keep up with the
reading of one chapter per week. We hope that you will think about
purchasing this book and participating with those who will be reading it
